About
Marie-Maxime graduated in illustration in the spring of 2020 and started working with Let There Be almost immediately afterward. A classmate of hers was already working here, was offered a job somewhere else, and passed this one along to her. It was right at the start of the pandemic, and she counts herself very lucky that the classmate reached out when she did.
She always understood Let There Be as a video marketing firm specializing in healthcare, and it has changed a great deal since she arrived. The team has more than doubled, there is far more specialization across the company, and it now runs, in her words, like a well-oiled machine.
One of her favorite projects to date was among the first where she acted as lead artist and began learning the art director role. She directed the art style and the flow of the piece as well as drawing and animating the characters, and she thinks it turned out lovely and unique.
Let There Be really pushed me to learn how to voice my opinion and make executive decisions on visual choices.
Marie-Maxime Giguere
No single project stands out to her, because she learns something on every one. She is a curious person by nature, so she finds every new discovery interesting, and she loves finding new ways to represent those discoveries visually so that a broad audience can understand them. In her free time she plays farm life sims, and works through a multitude of crafts, from wood carving to sewing to painting, following whatever her brain is interested in at the time. Her current read is Água Viva by Clarice Lispector.
