Shivaya Urcuyo

Before Let There Be, Shivaya worked in residential property and asset management, most recently overseeing a luxury lease-up in Boulder. It is essentially running a business inside a building: financial performance, leading a team, reporting to critical stakeholders, driving leasing and revenue, coordinating vendors and maintenance, and navigating compliance, all while managing the very human complexities of people’s homes. It taught her to balance long-term priorities against immediate demands, to navigate difficult conversations, and to make decisions under pressure.

She got here through an unexpected referral. A friend knew she was looking for an executive assistant role and recommended her to Alex, which led her to the listing he had posted on LinkedIn. It clicked at CHPA’s Annual Self-Care Leadership Summit, where she watched Alex lead a live Learning Lab on the Science Story™ framework and saw how enthusiastically the room responded. She could see both what the company does and why it resonates with the brands it works with.

Her work is mostly behind the scenes. She leads operational priorities across the company, including hiring, from sourcing candidates through coordinating interviews and keeping the process moving. She helps bridge the gaps that open between teams as they grow, and she runs the executive meetings where priorities get aligned, ownership gets clarified, and decisions move into action. The challenge is keeping everyone connected and accountable while meeting immediate business needs and building processes that can grow with the company.
