Challenge
Qunol tasked us with developing a new Science Story™ to distinguish Qunol Advanced Omega in the crowded Omega-3 and fish oil supplement segment.
Science Story™
We found that many health-conscious consumers believe all Omega-3 products offer similar benefits— unaware that differences in absorption can dramatically impact results. Many were using generic fish oil supplements, not realizing that their bodies could only absorb a fraction of the Omegas.
After reviewing research on Omega-3 bioavailability, we developed new positioning that received all necessary brand, legal, and regulatory approvals: Many fish oil supplements can be difficult to absorb; Qunol Advanced Omega delivers 10x better absorption than traditional fish oils.
Activation
We activated the Science Story™ and this new claim in a national TV campaign featuring a doctor and an MOA animation to reinforce the science.
Results
This strategy enabled Qunol to set a new standard for Omega-3 efficacy. By shifting consumer perceptions to focus on absorption and science, we increased brand visibility and educated consumers on making smarter supplement choices.
